Sri Lanka State Plantations Corporation (SLSPC) was established in 1958 under the Ceylon State Plantations Corporation Act No. 4 and it was amended by subsequent Acts No. 12 of 1962, and 49 of 1979. The concept behind establishing the State Plantations Corporation was to strength the contribution of the state plantation sector to the National Economy

General Manager's Message

As the General Manager of Sri Lanka State Plantations Corporation, I am pleased to offer my views to the corporation Website. With an 23 years Planting experience which includes tea manufacturing, Allocating Budget resources, formulating policies, coordinating business operations, monitoring and motivating staff, Managing Operational costs, ensuring good customer service, improving administration processes, engaging with vendors, hiring and training employees.

After I assumed duties as a General Manager of Sri Lanka State Plantations Corporation, I have successfully achieved many targets with the help of my management team, I took many financial developments and achieved targets which were followed to improve the quality of the corporation.

In addition to the Tea Plantations we are managing 03 Holiday Bungalows with a view of receiving an additional income to the corporation and also having Tea sales centers to generate extra funds.

A new concept has introduced with our “Sanstha Tea” sales with net profit margin of 27% as the present teas fetched at the Colombo Tea Auctions is far below to our expected value.

Currently we are maintaining 03 Tea factories and expecting to develop the other silent tea factories as well to improve the quality and the quantity of end products in order to enhance the NSA in the Tea Industry.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank All Planters, Senior Managers, Managers, Staff and my dear Workers for the support given me to fulfill my duties successfully.
